Wire application of tungsten or enamelled copper wires in polycarbonate or PMMA foils

Our products

Our core competence is the wire placement on plastic foil materials and their contacting. These plastic foils can be backmolded (back-injection), foam-backed, compressed or laminated in subsequent processes.

The wire geometry is defined by a 2D cad file and is processed by our CNC wire application maschines.

Applications

Our films with applied wires and contacts can be used for example in heatable radomes in automotive or other areas. In this case the heating function is realized by the metallic wires. The wires are choosen and aligned in a way, that the part remains radar transparent.

Another application is the integration of antennas in plastic parts. In this case the metallic wire is used as antenna.

Wire material

Typical wire materials are wltra-thin tungsten as well as enamelled copper wires.

The minimal validated wire diameters are approx. 14 µm for tungsten and approx. 40 µm for enamelled copper wires.

We will test also the application of wires out of these specifications with pleasure to design with you a perfect product.

Foil material

Typical foil materials are polycarbonate (PC) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).

The minimal validated foil thickness is approx. 0.2 mm.

Foils with a maximum size of 2000x3000mm can be processed, whereas the usual size for serial production is approx. 300x300mm.
